The sidewalk placard in front of the local discount grocery makes it clear that its cucumbers are grown in FRANCE, not in Spain, and the shop is trying to make the price attractive (3 for the price of 2). Quite a few people in Germany have died, and many are sick, initially assumed to be from cucumbers brought in from Spain. Although it is not clear that cucumbers are the source, Europe is now concerned about eating raw vegetables.

We heard the news here too. I'm sorry for those trying to eat heathfully who get this awful result.

And now the latest suspect - a farm in Lower Saxony. It's those da***d sprouts again. 30 people gone and thousands injured! I'm not surprised there's concern.
